The Thermalution Yellow Grade 2.0 is the next generation of their Yellow Grade line which incorporates improvements to both the comfort and performance of this heated undervest. The vest can be worn beneath wetsuits as well as drysuits thanks to the waterproof batteries and controller rated to 100m.
As with all things there is room for improvement and so, using feedback from Thermalution users, they improved four key aspects to create the Yellow Grade 2.0. Freedom of movement has been improved by making the battery pockets down the side of the body adjustable rather than a fixed position, the vest side panels have been replaced with 1mm thick neoprene with a plush lining to cushion the side of the body against battery packs, the battery packs are now thinner without compromising their capacity so that they fit flusher to the side of the body and, finally, gusset panels and zips have been to the sides to make it far easier to get on and off.
The temperature output is controlled via a rechargeable remote control unit that can be fitted to your wrist or secured to your kit and features a simple slide switch button to cycle through the power levels. A low profile receiver mounted in the low back of the vest acknowledges the setting changes by gently vibrating, letting you know your commands have been received and actioned.
